CORRECTION #1: There is an approximately 1.1x crop when shooting 4K120 at full frame. // It's a beast of a camera! How do you like the new set? This is designed specifically for LUMIX videos, and it's not 100% done yet… I'm not totally thrilled with how similar the background tone is to my skin tone, but also don't want to color it, so I'm struggling there. But tell me what you think!
Love your content jospeh , and as you asked about the background, the bg it is too light imho it means you are getting a lost slightly visually for me as a viewer less light in the background more darker tones
Yep, agreed. Not sure how to fix that yet but I’m working on it! In thought the white brick would be good — apparently not 🤦🏼♂️
Do you know if this camera supports a USB to ethernet adapter for multicam control in lumix tether? Similar to s5 ii x, gh7, gh5 ii?
Oh that’s a great question! I don’t know and the Tether page hasn’t been updated yet. Bookmark this URL https://av.jpn.support.panasonic.com/support/global/cs/soft/download/d_lumixtether.html and click the link “Please refer here for the supported functions by model” to see which cameras support what method. Hopefully the S1RII will be added soon.
I've not yet found a useful advantage over the S1R.
@@photojoseph I want a stills camera, principally for landscape photography. This isn't better than the S1Rs I already own.
Live ND would be useful.
Live ND would be useful.
Ok, well not every camera is for everybody! You gotta admit it’s a massive upgrade though.
not a fan about how panasonic lied about no crop in high frames rates as there is a 1.1 crop
@joeXjoeX we're are talking about normal 16:9 uncropped in which case others don't have a crop
It can be argued that Sony, Nikon, and Canon don't shoot "true" uncropped in any mode as they don't do Open Gate lol 1.1 crop on an Open Gate capture may actually capture more of a Full Frame sensor than shooting 16:9 on a Full Frame sensor...
@photojoseph don't worry it was a small bit, it's great it's at least not apsc crop
I have verified; I had misread the specs and there is a 1.1 crop. My apologies; I will add a pinned note with my error.
I have not been able to verify as I don’t have a body yet, so I was going off specs. I’ve seen Undone show that it cropped and others say that it doesn’t. I wonder if the cropped image had EIS on, which has to crop. Ask me again when I have one!
