This is GREAT. Can I use an Atem Extreme and Blackmagic Web Presenter HD together. I want to take advantage of the SRT of Web Presenter but didnt know if that was possible scenario
Is anybody facing problems with cache memory oh BMWP HD? There are few posts on BM Forum for similar problem from few users but i see there are no problems for other users. Can you do a video help us find out, what we doing wrong? I try several cameras with BM HDMI to SDI 3G converter. I can see the camera normaly, with sound. But the cache of BMWP is goinf after 1 min to 100% and stay there, no matter the internet speed. Any idea?
I think we had this conversation on my main channel? In case that wasn't you… if your buffer is filling immediately that most likely means the ATEM isn't actually on the internet. Make sure it has a valid IP and can be accessed from another computer on the network.
FANTASTIC VIDEO like always!
Q please. If you already have the ATEM Mini Extreme ISO, it would be worth buying the web presenter 4K and adding to the set up? Maybe to increase the streaming quality?
Thanks in advance and sorry for my English; i'm still learning
Have a Productive and Healthy Day!
@@PhotoJosephLIVE Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question. Have a Productive and Healthy day!
Nope — the ATEM will only output HD so you won’t get a 4K stream. You need a much bigger ATEM 2ME to handle 4K switching.
Hi @PhotoJoseph Hoping you can help, I have purchased the Web presenter and I am interested in how you eliminated the infinity effect when you showed your video through the webpresenter? Take care and stay safe.
Oh that’s because you’re actually looking at a supersource build (like a Picture in Picture). The clean video of me is superimposed over the web presenter interface where the infinity effect would be.
Am now watching the rewatch from canada.. what time was this. And should I (we all) STILL subscribe to the pervious original channel. THANK FOR OPERATING EVERYTHING ON THE SPOT. 💯☑️
Yes please! This channel is JUST for my live shows. Usually I go live at either Tuesday 10am pacific or Wednesday 9pm Pacific but the last month has been chaotic so I’ve changed things a lot.
Can the BlackMagic send both video signals to OBS at the same time so I can switch using third-party software?
This video is about the Web Presenter, which only has one input (it's not a switcher). If you're asking about the ATEMs, then no, you only get one output at a time.
Subscribed. Cheers!
Thank you!
🎉 Congrats on 60K!! 🎉
Thanks man!
ha cool, the beginning reminded me a bit of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nt56RMbpq_0
Haha fair enough!
@@PhotoJosephLIVE you are a young boy - i'm 63 this year ; -)
I’m of that age… yes I do :-)
@@PhotoJosephLIVE you do not know max headroom? is cult
haha funny
I got 92k subs, 79M views, I don't want to be slipping off into a separate channel just because I do a bit more live streams now that all traveling is still banned. See, I know YouTube wants its users to live stream more, I don't see the point for YouTube to penalize YouTube channels that might livestream once in a while. Surely, YouTube can differentiate between a livestream and an upload. They won't recommend the one to the same audience as the other. And that's fine. YouTuber users are subscribed or interested in literally thousands of channels in average, YouTube gets 4 Billion views per day, I don't think one should count on subscriber count actually affecting the views much. The general rule of thumb, I think, on any social media and on YouTube included, you can expect about 1% of your subscribers to watch any content that you publish. I think the other views might come from unsubscribed, which may be in the category of "similar users to the ones that are subscribed or have watched and liked your content before", as well as people generally interested in the actual topics of each video, they might get the videos recommended by the YouTube algorithm, in my case, I think more than 50% of my views comes from YouTube and Google search, as people search for the products, people and companies who I interview, so most of my views have nothing to do with them being subscribed or not. Also, I like to think ones YouTube channel is a very long term investment, so you have to think about how the YouTube algorithm will affect your views on the long term, like what do you think they will be doing to views based on subscriber count etc like 1, 2, 3 years from now. I am confident that the quality of each video will determine the views more than what may be the subscriber count on each channel, I trust that YouTube's algorithm can determine quality and originality of content and bring the right audience to that content, even if the YouTube channel might only have in the low hundreds of subscribers count. Another thing I would do before splitting off views into a new channel, would be to just get some kind of confirmation from the Creator Insider channel (made by YouTube staff giving updates on how the algorithm works etc), maybe just a comment to one of their recent relevant videos might get a response from them. I don't think YouTube needs to have channels publish videos regularly, and I don't think YouTube channels need to stick to their niches neither. As really the YouTube algorithm shouldn't care about publishing frequency nor niche stickiness to recommend this or that video to the right audience among those 4 Billion views per day. So there, that's what I think :) Just to say I think your live streams are super cool and high quality, high production value and I wish you all the views and subscribers you want. Long live (future, whenever it comes) good Panasonic AF!
@@PhotoJosephLIVE Yup, I think that AI that is the YouTube Algorithm is constantly evolving, changing. And I think a lot of YouTube channels have been affected by corona in terms of what types of content they have been able to publish recently. And for example while I understand my recent 50+ hour-long live streams get fewer views and probably smaller watch time percentages than my previous uploads, I am confident whenever corona is finished, and I travel again and upload again some more my view rates will be back automatically on that type of content. So I really don't want to be worrying about unlisting live streams or splitting off to a different channel, I just expect the YouTube algo to behave "nicely" and to not penalize me because I live streamed a bit on my YouTube channel instead of doing it elsewhere on something like twitch, linkedin or whatever. And actually, I don't think I am the only one, I think live streaming is cool, and I love tools like Streamyard and melonapp that make it so easy to do just browser based remote interviews, so I plan to keep doing a lot of live streams in the future even when traveling and uploading recorded content again becomes possible. I don't ever want to unlist anything, just count on my viewers being smart and they are seeing the video length numbers on the thumbnails and if they don't feel like watching a long video, that's up to them and that's fine.

Another thing I have seen them confirm on the Creator Insider channel is that watch time on long videos (longer than 20min) has been increasing by a lot in recent years, I don't remember if it's more than 50% of watch time, but it's a large number, a large part of the watch time is on longer videos so even more reason that I wouldn't want to worry about it. So the AI cares about how many minutes they actually watch, not only about how long percentage of the whole video they watch.
Thanks for your thoughts Charbax. I'm basing this decision off pure analytics of what's been happening on my channel and the advice of someone who manages and has overseen the growth of many large channels. At the end of the day if this is a bad idea, it's a bad idea. There's no easy answer when it comes to this stuff and we have spoken to the YouTube support about it. Every channel is unique in its history, growth, etc., so again there is no single answer. The "algorithm" is vast and complex and essentially an AI, and even YouTube itself can't simply tell you what to do or not to do. So, we try different things and see what works. This may end up being a huge success story — or a huge disaster. Only one way to find out.
Please which software you used to stream this program ?
This is a complex live show built of of three ATEM switchers, mimoLive software, a hardware encoder and a dual SDI interface. It could largely be recreated in a smaller environment with an ATEM Mini Extreme and/or mimoLive software.
I considered getting the yagh for my Gh4, how did you get around the SDI frame rate limitations?
Did I? I don’t recall… but anything not in the YAGH today isn’t going to be added. I don’t have mine connected anymore to test. Having 59.94i instead of 29.97 out of SDI does sound familiar though. I was using HDMI from the YAGH into my ATEM Mini though, so there was no problem there. That came in as 29.97p.
@@PhotoJosephLIVE in a previous video you talked about the SDI not having progressive frame rates and the SDI being fixed?
I used it at 29.97 so wasn’t a problem… what limitations are you having?
