I was really hoping for a helpful introduction to editing raw in Snapseed, but, it seems your video was a bit of a disaster. Perhaps you should take it down and replace it with a video where everything worked. Sorry to be blunt, but it was a bit of a waste of time watching!
Hello Joseph, I can't find another video on editing Raw .rw2 files, so I'm posting here I hope you can help. I'm sure you've addressed it before, but I can't open, preview or even edit .rw2 files on my Imac (OSX 10..11.6) I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 14. I was able to edit raw files from an old Canon T3i last year, but I now have the Gh5 which I use solely for video and the occasional photo. Maybe you can point to me to a video or help with the correct thing to do? Thank you!
Oh ok… you’re on OSX 10.11. RAW support for the GH5 came out early this year 2017 (when the camera came out), which was macOS Sierra (10.12). You need to upgrade to at least that. Adobe has its own decoder but you may be using an old version of Elements as well.
Thanks for the reply, I have the Panasonic Lumix GH5. The raw .rw2 files will not open, won't open in photos, or preview or open in Photoshop elements 14.
Hm, you don’t need anything special to edit them. Which camera? RW2 is Panasonic RAW (maybe others too?) and AFAIK all shipping LUMIX cameras have RAW support now. Every camera is different, by the way. One RW2 file is not like every other.
I don't know if something has changed since this video, but I can defintely edit the raw file on Snapseed on Android
+OZbibaO Great! I wasn't on Android of course so it may be different… are you exporting the RAW from Lr to the camera roll (or whatever it's called on Android) or are you sending straight to Snapseed from Lr?
I had the same Problem with Snapseed. Maybe there was an Update...
+Achim Pancke There have been several updates since I did this video but I haven't tested this specifically

Remember when photography was "relatively" easy ...? Throw in a roll of Kodachrome, have it processed, scatter the slides on the light table, toss the crap shots into the dust bin next to the light table and boom, your'e done. You know, there are times that I truly miss those days...
I don't disagree… (not the getting old part haha)
I hear ya and I concur. It was certainly not idea, many pitfalls to shooting slides (especially high speed E6 films like Ecktachorme or Fujichrome) and having experienced some of what you described. Still, the occasional fights and frustrations that I have with LP, PS, my Macs, iPads, et all, I tend look on those days with fond memories, just getting old I suppose.
hahah yeah… I know what you men ;-)

Then I look at it like, "remember the days when you sent your priceless photos to the lab, sacrificed a goat and prayed to the god Kodak on Mt. Fuji on an Illford prayer mat that your film wasn't lost, dipped in the wrong chemical bin, or X-rayed five times by a hyperactive airport security agent"… sigh

Ya win some ya lose some ;-)
Something tells me that this channel is going to get B I G

+VideoUploaderHD Hm don't think that posted… just in case; thank you for your belief and support!
+VideoUploaderHD Well thank you for the the support! Please do what you can to help make that happen :-) Thanks!!
I have been trying to learn the native iso of iphone7 but couldn't find it anywhere. In lightroom mobile base iso is 25 but I am not sure if it is the native iso that gives the best noise and dynamic range performance. I would be so happy if you know the answer.
Been trying to figure that out myself too. I don't think ISO 20 is native.

I shoot RAW with 645 Pro Mark III and have been editing in Aperture.
+barparildar Interesting. I definitely don't know. I think that'd take some serious testing to figure out.
Thank you so much for the video. I learned new things from it. Thumbs up
+Mohammad H. almughrabi Awesome! Thanks :-)
