PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) for Lumix BGH1 for Church, Concert Hall…
Photo Moment - April 23, 2022
PTZ, or Pan Tilt Zoom heads let you add motion to your cameras without needing a camera operator, and adds motion to cameras in inaccessible locations (like ceiling or high-wall mounted rigs). All-in-one PTZ cameras are popular but don't offer the best quality. This solution by Datavideo lets you put a camera like a LUMIX BGH1 or BS1H on a PTZ head. Check it out!

I saw that there is another way to replace this type of equipment, I mean a Dji ronin rs3 pro rig with the Dji transmission and a Sony mirrorless camera (total control with the dji transmission).
This is a perfect combination to have a remote camera operator mounted on a tripod. It seems to me that the Dji transmissions is possible to take video with HDMI and take it to a video capture device or an Atem Mini.
Your videos really motivated me to buy gh5mk2 in some time :) You are cool!
Hope I can afford one one day.
Wondering if you can fit a BMPCC6K on it!
Since the ATEM doesn't support 4k and most PTZ cams don't record internally, I use 1080 AVKANS cams over IP VISCA. The controller I currently use is more suited to security cams but I like the fact that it has a built in monitor. If I use a second person to help me it's easier to run the two stations separately that way. The down side is too many key presses to do anything. Just to use a recall it's often 6 key presses. Cam, #, Enter, recall, #, Enter. I can make the process a bit easier by using a streamdeck with companion though.
That RMC-180 would make life a lot simpler and mean I need help less often. However the cameras I have do not support RS-422. Only 232, 485, visca and pelco. However I wonder if that's only the ports? Maybe it will do 422 over ethernet, I'm unsure.
One question: I love the possibility of using One camera for multiple shots and zooming in. Is there a way to input a 4K or 6K signal into a program like OBS and then downscale into different shots? I’m sure you could theoretically accomplish this with one 4K capture card then you’d have 4 different 1080p shots. My studio doesn’t record internally but instead just takes the recorded live stream so no edited is needed. Having one wide angle with a high enough resolution to crop in comfortably would be a game changer
