GH5 VFR seems crippled for speed up. On 50 frames modes you get only 25 and 2 fps shooting, with 25 native mode you get something like 23,21,12 and 2 fps shooting.
Why no more options for speed up, nothing between double speed and huge speed up. Often something more conservative like 4x speed up would be usefull! (For slow-down you have plenty of options though)

Please answer me this question I just purchased the gh5 just came in today and I notice some noise that made me feel like something is loose in the camera when I shake it when it off and doesn't make the noise that much when it's on. Is this something I should be worried about? I recorded video and shook it and the footage was fine but idk
You're probably hearing the sensor moving around; remember it moves to stabilize the shot.
I've just got the GH5 but I can't seem to access the VFR mode?? Anyone know the process?
Hm, I though I responded to this… are you in a shooting mode that's VFR capable? Each mode tells you if it is. Then you have to open the VFR menu and choose your speed. I have another question about the crop factor: the 4/3 system and full frame have different aspect ratios. If you multiply the size of the 4/3 sensor by 2 it becomes taller than full frame but narrower (36mm vs 34.6mm), how do you determine a 2x crop factor with differen ratios? Also that means that in video mode it still has to have more than 2x crop because the width is smaller!
+Thomas Noonan you're over thinking it. Crop factor isn't width x height. If you put a 50mm lens on a MFT camera and 100mm on a FF, put them side by side pointing at the same subject, the size of the subject will be the same.
Metabones are notorious for their poor communication.

The G85 allows to simultaneously record in camera and output to HDMI. It's not just a feature on the GH cameras. I've had the G85 recording 4k on the card as well as an HDMI connected Atomos Flame recording at the same time.

Has anyone worked out what the refresh rate of the GH5 evf is? Still can't find that info online.
+Fost It's very high. I think doubled from the GH4? Sorry I don't recall exactly but I want to say 120Hz or even 250Hz. I could be completely misrepresenting this though, sorry.

Thanks for another great video on the GH5 and I appreciate your showing me where the remote plugs in. Shutter button side is great as it will not interfere with the swivel rear screen. I am looking at one of these as a still camera. I really like the 4K modes and the new 6K modes for stills is something I look forward to trying. In the mean time I will be using my G85.

You can power up the GH5 with the usb power bank through the DC Coupler not the USB-C, but the voltage need to pump up to 7.2V.
