I do not have IPHOTO on my computer and the file path Verify that you have iPhoto 9.3 or later. Then open the library in iPhoto to upgrade

I do not have IPHOTO on my computer and the file path is user > pictures > 2012 Aperture Library

It worked fine until I consolidated all the masters and then shut down the program.

tried to “Open With” but already had Aperture selected

Sorry for all the post, but this upgrade is taxing me to death

Jon,

I’m a little confused by your posts, as to what exactly is or isn’t happening. However since you said you don’t have iPhoto yet Aperture things it’s there, could you have had it at one point then deleted it? If so, reinstall iPhoto and see if the problems go away?

Library “A” opens in Aperture but needs to upgrade to current version, after upgrading and processing Previews and thumbnails in the library …”A” will no longer open in Aperture because it thinks it is a lesser version iPhoto library even though the path is .alibrary

So… each library that goes through the upgrade from 3.2.4 to 3.3.2 then requires that this “iPhoto library” needs to be upgraded to 9.3 in order to open it again.

If you have lost your photos from iPhoto library, you can easily retrieve it by using iPhoto library recovery software. Its very easy use and does not require any expert to carry out the entire scanning process. Along with recovering of the lost files, it also restores the deleted photos, videos, images and other files in a new location as suggested by the users.
