Hi,
Just as some other people posting online, I've not been able to open my Aperture library since the update to 3.3 (I think). The error message reads “Verify that you have iPhoto 9.3 or later. Then open the library in iPhoto to upgrade it.” I haven't used iPhoto in years and my version is 8.x.
By reading other posts here and elsewhere I have started to accept the fact that the library information is more or less lost. However, I can access all my master files. Therefore, I'm wondering if there is any other file or anything I could do transfer as much information as possible from my library such as versions, folders etc. As it looks now, I have to sort 30k masters as well as edit and rate all of them again.
Best regards,
Björn,
Please read this post: Stuck on “Opening Aperture Library”? Try Opening in iPhoto, First.. If you don’t have iPhoto, it’s what, $10 in the App Store? Could be worth buying just to get back up and running, if that is what fixes you.
