The only email selection to me when exporting a photo to email is through the .me service. When I try and change email selections the only available choice seems to be the .me. How can I change the preference to be able to email out via hotmail or gmail?

Are you using Apple Mail as a client, or webmail? If Apple Mail, you can change the address it’s sent from there.
Or are you using iPhoto rather than Aperture which emails out direct?
