I spent ages carefully crafting a question then clicked ‘Preview’. Instead of a preview I got a message something like “The website encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later.” And my question is gone!
I’ve seen that before. Your web server session probably expired while you were composing. When I’ve taken a long time to compose something, I select it all and copy it to my copy-paste buffer. That way I can always paste it into a new compose window if my session expires.
Hmm, it is possible it timed out as I probably took about 10 minutes composing. But it certainly wasn’t hours! And I wouldn’t expect a time-out to produce an ‘unexpected’ error!
For security reasons most sessions time out in minutes or less, but the clock starts over with each page fetch. I don’t know how AE is configured, but I’m suspecting 10 minute is too long to compose a message. If you preview the message periodically, that will start the clock over.
