Apple has posted a new RAW update! Some of us with the Olympus E-M1 found our pictures loading up with a pink cast. Some of that seemed related to the wifi remote function, a pretty handy function as long as the pictures aren't the wrong color.
A nice speedy fix from Apple that also adds a Canon camera too…
Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 5.03
This update adds RAW image compatibility for the following camera to Aperture 3 and iPhoto ‘11:
- Canon EOS M2
It also includes fixes that:
- Resolve an issue that prevented lens correction from working properly with Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 images
- Address a color cast issue on some Olympus OM-D E-M1 images

I’m a bit puzzled.
The change log lists:
Hmm, I’ve thought lens correction was the number one requested feature for an Aperture 4 or Aperture X or whatever it will be called - well in case there will be a new version at all.
Has the new Camera Raw Update got lens correction capabilities?
And is this useable in Aperture or iPhoto now?
Or is this the first “official” hint, that Apple is working on a new version of Aperture, that will bring us at least lens correction?
