MOST of my videos that are imported (.mov, etc) into my Aperture 3.5.1 library show a black box PREVIEW that says ! Unsupported Video Format.
How do I create a PREVIEW for my VIDEOS inside Aperture? The “Generate Preview” is not an option in the menu for VIDEOS.

What camera(s) are your video files from that are showing the unsupported warning.? Generally, it is Quicktime that handles the video rendering within Aperture … it’s called up behind the scenes. You may possibly need to make sure you have all recent OS X updates applied to be sure you have the latest codecs installed for QT.
