Hi, I’m having problems moving versions from one project to another project after having posted them on Facebook. The versions are copied rather than moved and i loose all the adjustments made to the original versions. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,
David
Are you moving them from the original project or from the Facebook shared section? Can you please list the exact steps you're taking?

Hi Chris
Thanks for getting back to me. Here are the steps I carry out:
1 Import the images from SD card into a project named “Edit”
2 Edit the images.
3 Publish edited images on Facebook via the Aperture interface.
4 Attempt to move the images from the “Edit” project to another project.
When I do this, the images are copied rather than moved. The image on the main screen in Aperture greys out when I click on the thumbnail at the bottom of the screen.
I hope this helps to find a solution.
Thanks
David

Hi David,
I've never heard of this problem, but one possible workaround is to keyword the image with FB-Edit on import, import it into the correct project (where it would end up anyway) and use a FB-Edit smart folder to manage any images with pending edits. You can easily remove the keywords after editing and sharing to FB which will remove them from the smart album without changing the project it's in.
This doesn't solve the root problem, but it may be a more efficient workflow anyway.
If you want to find out more tricks for keywording and Project & Smart Album organisation then be sure to check these out:

Hi Chris
Thanks for that. If I don’t use the Facebook interface on Aperture everything seems to be ok. It’s just annoying that I’ve lost the pictures I’ve put on Facebook as they’re now just greyed out. If I export the images to my hard drive after editing them, then put them on fb, everything seems to be ok. I contacted Apple support last week and the guy was quite helpful but they now seem to have abandoned me.
Thanks for your help.

Yes, good luck getting much out of Apple. If it's a big issue they will eventually fix it, and that's the best we can hope for.
If worse comes to worse, try disconnecting your FB account, trashing your .plist, repairing permissions on your Aperture library and then reconnecting.

Okay. Where do I find my .plist? and how do I repair permissions on my Aperture library?
I appreciate your help.

This is a pretty complete troubleshooting cure all… http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3805

Thanks for the link. I managed to find a solution by playing around with Aperture. I spotted a notice at the top of the adjustments pane which said this photo has been processed using a previous version of RAW and showed a reprocess button to press. When I pressed the button the greyed out picture was restored.
I hope this may help someone else in the future.
Thanks again for your help.
Cheers
