When I create an album from which to create a book, I notice that some photos are too large to resize in the book photo holder and I cannot even move it around to position it as I want.

What is the easiest way to solve this, creating a cropped version just for the book seems a lot of effort so can someone explain why my photos do not downsize to fit the Book photo holder,

Scale to fit and centre seems to have no effect and the scale size icon is at minimum
