Doing some housekeeping, I needed to “Relocate Masters.”  The operation seemed to work fine, but when I went to check, that is view the photos in Finder, they ALL have the date 12/13/31 8:45PM.  (Is that Dec 31st 2013?)  Unfortunately, I noticed this happened every time I’ve tidied up my library. As in most of library, at least the stored photos (?), now show this date.
Viewed in Aperture, the pictures still show the correct date. (Phew!)  I’m mostly relieved, but confused and a bit worried.  
Is the date truly safe/saved in the metadata?  
Why is the “created date” different in Finder?
Can anyone share what’s going on and how I can possibly fix or prevent this?
