so, my wife has a very large aperture library, around 100gb. I’ve been meaning to make a vault for it for some time. Upon trying to do that, Aperture froze and i had to quit it. Now, it won’t load her library. We have a time machine back up, via Thunderbolt but for some reason, that connection is ridiculously slow and won’t restore her back up library from the TM file.

I’ve tried all the repair options. No luck. Aperture does open with a fake new library, so i have not yet re-installed Aperture. Would that potentially do the trick? She has a huge amount of metadata in her library.. is is possible that by creating the vault and that failing, that it could have corrupted that 100gb file for good?

i’m clutching at straws for any answers or help to be honest.. so any opinions or thoughts would be useful at this stage
