Don’t know what happened to my original post, but I was just asking for verification of how photos make the roundtrip when using an editing extension. As I understand it, the original file is given to the app, and the app must return a JPG. Is that the case? Not great for RAW files, obviously.

That’s why I use the extension RAW Power which gives back a RAW-File, which I can edit again at every time.
Interesting extension. It reads as though it manipulates the Photos database directly. Is that your understanding?
Yes. And as the developer was head of the aperture Development I believe that he knows what to do. :-)
