I was checking out the new email templates in iPhoto 11. I hope Aperture adds these in the future. I don't use iPhoto any longer but I was interested in using this email template feature. iPhoto lets you browse your Aperture library via the File/Show Aperture Library. But it doesn't appear you can drag photos from your Aperture library into the email templates. I can import the photos into iPhoto then add them to the email templates. Is that the best I can do?

Jim,
I had to check out what you were talking about… I hadn’t seen that feature yet. Neat!
It would appear that your observation is correct. I also could not drag photos from the Aperture browser to the email templates. However you can’t drag iPhoto photos into the templates, either. It only emails what you’ve selected before you hit the Email menu. In which case, yes, it appears you would have to import the photos first. Of course you could drag them into iPhoto, email them, then delete from iPhoto. Probably fewer steps than anything else I could suggest.
Remember that Mail.app in itself has a series of templates, and there are third party templates you can add as well. Just google Mail.app stationary and you’ll find a few.
