I've updated to Aperture 3.3 and when I tried to send a photo via the email share feature in Aperture, my Mail app appears to stop functioning. When I click to send the email nothing appears to happen, but somehow the email still sends. Then the only way I can use Mail again is to restart the app.
Has anyone else had a similar issue?
Scot,
It’s working as expected for me. So to be sure I’m doing the same as you…
1. click the Share > Email button (now in a menu) in the Aperture toolbar. You should see mail come to the front, and a new message be created with your image attached.
2. address the message
3. click the send button
From there I see my mail whoosh away as it should, and all is good and normal.
Are you doing anything differently?

To be clear when I tried it I clicked the (now) gray share button on the main interface, not the option in the menu at the top. I don’t know if that makes a difference or not.
No, same same.
I don’t know then, but it sounds like a Mail issue not an Aperture one. You can try trashing mail preferences, or even setting up a new user account and re-enter your email login there, set up a new aperture library with one image, and see if it’s repeatable.
What if you mail from iPhoto, same problem?

it worked fine in iPhoto.
I tried dumping my Mail preferences file and that appears to have fixed the problem! Funny how little things can go screwy.
Thanks for the help! Love the site.
Awesome, and thanks :)
