I was shooting bar mitzvah temple pictures and there was harsh sunlight coming through a stained glass window onto the subjects faces…unavoidable at the time as the window was 40' high.
Would love some suggestions on best ways to deal with the harsh sunlight in editing…

For just inside Aperture, you could use a few tools. Reverse S-Curve in the curves tool or maybe just use the highlights & shadows adjustment. You can then brush in the effect over the face area. I would start with the shadows & highlights.
