Hi,
I'm referring to images that I took while on vacation, and more recent images. I took my laptop, which was running the latest Aperture program; I use an external hd, to uploaded the days shots, not storing them to the laptops hd. I do this because I think it's an easier way to transfer to my desktop where my main library is kept.
All the vacation images (about 2000) have after the file name CR2 instead of jpeg or RAW when I move the curser over them, (example: File Name: IMG_8743.CR2). I've also noticed other more recent project have CR2 after the file name. Should I be concerned with this? Also what is this? Currently I'm using 3.4.3.
Thanks, Steve

CR2 is Canon’s native RAW format file extension. There is no RAW file extension. RAW simply refers to the unprocessed or raw data of an image. Each camera manufacturer has their own proprietary RAW format. Nothing to worry about.
