I have my film commercially developed, printed and a CD created. The problem is that every CD is named “PHOTOS.” With that being the case, I have not found a way to have Aperture catalog the images as Referenced. I have been importing the images into Aperture as Managed which allows me to create a unique name and label the CD accordingly.

I am hoping that someone has a way to to have Aperture catalog the non-unique CD images without needlessly duplicating them to be managed by Aperture.

I dislike the redundancy of managing duplicate images although I now have 'plenty' of disk storage space, but I used to think that the 20MB drive in my Mac SE was 'plenty' of space. LOL
