Dual monitors #1

I've got an old VGA display plugged into the iMac and was hoping to use it to display the main display - ie HUD and thumbsnails and then have the photo I'm working on on the (colour critical) iMac display. Seemed a better option than forking out for a second fancy monitor.

However, having read the manual I can't see a way of making the VGA display primary and the iMac secondary. Am I missing anything?

David,

To change the primary display, go to the System preferences and define the primary by dragging the menu bar to the one you want [screenshot]

In Aperture, under the View menu, you can determine what is displayed on the Secondary Viewer.

Thanks Joseph

I’m glad I asked. I’d worked out that moving the menu bar might be the answer, but not that I’d have to close and reopen Aperture to make it work. Fail-
