I for one hope this is true. I use my iPad in my workflow and I think this would help tremendously.

Hey Chris,

I think this would be awesome. I’d love to be able to hang out on the couch, rate photos and assign keywords.

How do you use your iPad in your workflow?

I use it for mainly backing up my images. So I have it stored on memory cards and the iPad.

If I am being really paranoid I will also upload some selected images from the iPad to flickr, it may be only a Jpeg version of the image but I always like to think that it is better to have something than nothing.

When I get back home I transfer the raw files from the iPad over to aperture and start my post processing on them. Once I am happy they are on the mac I then remove them from memory cards, flickr and the pad.

I really hope they do have an aperture app on iPad, even if it just a library and rating system that would be of great help.

I do not know if many of you have seen the new ios5 promo video:

http://www.apple.com/ios/ios5/

however look at about 3:30 in to the video. It shows the ability to enhance and crop your photo’s. Does this add fuel to the possible fire about aperture making an appearance to the iPad?

Time will only tell, I for one hoping yes as I really want to ditch adobe photoshop express in favor of an app that will, hopefully, integrate in to an application I use on my mac a lot.

Hopefully it might bring to us Ipad users the basics of cropping and enhancing, preferably the ability to organise before it hits our desktop/laptop libraries.

Time will only tell.

To save people searching through the video, here is a quick blurb in the iOS description page here about the new basic enhance & crop features in iOS 5.

It makes me think there is more under the hood for aperture users.
