I have just picked up a new mac. After getting Aperture installed, I would like to know where the import and export settings are stored so move as opposed to recreate the templates that I use? I'm hoping it is a preference file somewhere that I can just copy from one machine to the next.

Sorry Steve, missed this one.
Yes you can move all your settings. On the old system, open the user Library folder (if you’re on Lion, you have to go to the Go menu while holding the Option key to get to the Library…
copy these files and folders to the same location on the new system:
~/Library/Application Support/Apertureand
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Aperture.plistThat should do it!
