Hi! I use the latest version of Aperture 3.2.1, and when I click Auto Luminance Curves I get an S-curve. I kind of liked the idea of just getting the the black and white points set and then adjust the curve myself. Does anybody know a way to turn this S-curve adjustment off.
Kindest Regards
Andreas

Auto S-Curve

Andreas,
This is a new feature (or, “feature”) in 3.2. I actually quite like it, as that’s pretty much what I’d do when using Curves anyway, but I can certainly see that it may not be ideal for everyone.
As far as I know, there’s no way to turn it off. I haven’t tried any key combos though; i.e. click the button while holding command/option/etc.
What do the rest of you think? Do you like this new functionality, or not?

Wow, thank you! If I hold down the option-key while clicking auto-curves, I get the “old” functionality!

Awesome! I thought there might be a way to do it.
I’m going to post this on the front page… thanks for checking it out :)
