losing flash exposure compensation data on import from Nikon D90 & SB-600 #1

Hi there. :) I'm using a Nikon D90, SB-600 external flash, and Aperture 3. I noticed while doing some edits today that the flash exposure compensation field in the EXIF data is not recording when I upload to Aperture. The data is getting recorded in camera - it's showing up in the playback screen on the camera display, but is not transferring when I import the photos into Aperture. All photos show a value of 0 ev in Aperture, regardless of any changes I make while shooting. Regular exposure bias is importing properly when I make exposure changes on the camera body rather that on the flash itself. Any suggestions? Just a bug?

Alison,

Sounds like a bug to me. If you want to trouble shoot it, try shooting a JPG as well as a RAW and see if the data is missing in both, and also try opening the file directly in Preview, and if you have it, in Photoshop. See if the data is there.

Could be a Nikon bug, an OS bug, or an Aperture bug.
