Hi,
I have been using Aperture with really no problems. Import has been seemless. Now, I have two issues.
1) My two buttons under “store files”- “move files” & “copy files” are missing after I select certain folders. Why is this happening? I am using pictures off and external HD. Once they disappear there is nothing I can do to get them to reappear without quitting Aperture and restarting.
2) I have never had issues importing but my file struction Pics(Ext. HD)>2012>edit>101_pana(or many folders here)
It will not show anything after the “edit” folder except 3 videos. I thought it may have something to do with the external HD but it did the same thing when I tried it from the MBP as well.
Any help would be appreciated as I am ready to give up on Aperture. I have really liked it until this point, but now I am having so many issues that import is WAY too big a headache.

If you’re only seeing videos, my guess is that “Exclude Photos” is turned on: [screenshot]
As far as the missing move/relocate, that sounds like permissions issues with the destination volume. Assuming it’s an external drive, get info in the Finder on that drive and enable “ignore permissions” (or something similar to that).
