I have just transferred all my photos into the Aperture library, however there are some still left in the iphoto library. Apple TV can see the iPhoto library but not the Aperture one. How can I make Apple tv see the aperture libabry and despite consolidating libaries what should I do with the old iPhoto library?

You didn’t say if you’re on a 1st gen or 2nd gen Apple TV. I’ll assume second.
In iTunes, you need to select the menu Advanced > Choose Photos to Share option and you can select your Aperture library, or whatever you like, from there [screenshot]. Then the Apple TV will see those.
This came up in the Live Chat test last night and I couldn’t remember how I set it up; that’s how. I’ll do a post on this in the near future.
