Since upgrading to Aperture 3.4 and then 3.41 I noted that my Perfect Photo Suite ver 6 from onOne Software is not functioning correctly. Referring to the onOne software support web page it states …….
“With Aperture 3.4, Apple has added a new level of security known as Sandboxing. This requires that plug-ins for use in Aperture 3.4 must also operate in the same manner. With the Perfect Photo Suite 7 and its individual product versions, onOne will support Aperture 3.4.
…. The following products (Perfect Photo Suite 6)will not be updated to work with Aperture 3.4 and higher. These versions do not comply with certain app sandbox requirements in Aperture 3.4 and later.”
Has anyone else come across this issue?
I also note that I will have to upgrade to Perfect Photo Suite ver 7 to be able to use with Aperture ver 3.4 …. and will require me to pay an upgrade fee of around $150. After only purchasing ver 6 of Perfect Photo Suite in May 2012 for $200 this does not seem to make economic sense. I may have to ditch this product unless they can change their upgrade and support philosophy.
I haven’t seen that problem. Perfect Photo Suite 6 still works OK in aperture 3.4.1 for me.

Stuart, I just bought the advance purchase for Perfect Photo Suite 7 and I got a download of Suite 6 until 7 is released towards the end of October. Suite 6 was working okay last week, and then I did a fresh ML install this weekend. Suite 6 seems to be working okay so far with a fresh install of Aperture 3.4.1.
I saw the same message on the onOne site.
I’ve finally returned home to a system that’s fully up to date (10.8.2 and 3.4.1) and Perfect Photo Suite 6 is still working fine for me; at least I can open in image in it from Aperture (haven’t done any more than that).
To Robert’s question, I do have my security settings set to “open anywhere” [screenshot] — I wonder if that makes any difference?
