Is there any way to configure Aperture 3 so that you can email using Outlook 2011? Currently, the only options available to me to send out photos using Email are “Mail” and “Entourage”!?
Oddly enough, it appears that Outlook isn’t directly supported. I did find this thread on the Apple forums that may help. I haven’t read the whole thing but it looks like you’ll need to manage some work-around.

Keep in mind that you can always use drag-and-drop. With images that have a Preview (or generate on demand), drag into a new message in Outlook. I described that process recently in this article: Current Aperture/iLife Sharing Nightmares, and How to Avoid It Entirely and also here: A Comprehensive Look at Thumbnails, Previews, and More in Aperture 3.

Aperture 3.4.2 has this listed in the change log:
“Fixes an issue that could prevent Microsoft Outlook from being used to email photos from within Aperture”
Thomas
haha funny how it’s called “an issue”… AFAIK Outlook has never been supported. Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t think so.
Anyway, good that it’s finally there.
