I've been noticing this for the last couple weeks (so prior to 3.4) but had figured I just didn't tick a box in my export settings. Turns out that box is ticked. So the issue is when I export a photo that has data pertaining to lens settings (aperture, shutter, zoom, etc.) that information doesn't get exported. The type of camera and lens do get exported though. Aperture shows all this information but when exported as a JPEG or TIFF I don't get this info. Any ideas?
Iain,
Did you ever get anywhere with this? I’ve heard of missing metadata before but if you have a full reproducible situation I can pass that along to Apple.

Hey Joseph sorry I didn’t see a reply earlier. I had gotten very frustrated about this again tonight and was looking around to see if there’d been any other reports. I’m now seeing next to no exif data being exported, but only under certain circumstances. It looks like if I use a plugin to work on a photo (Topaz Labs - any, Silver Efex Pro2) the exif info which is viewable in Aperture won’t export.

An untouched by 3rd party plugins photo will export just fine. So maybe this is expected behavior?
I’m having the same issue which seems to be focused around importing a RAW into AP3, editing with Topaz Adjust plugin, then exporting from AP3 to Flickr then the ISO, shutter, aperture EXIF data do not go along. The EXIF shows up in AP3 fine, just won’t pass to Flickr.
So this problem went away for a while but recently came back. It came back before 3.4.5, but I didn’t say anything because I knew I’d be transferring stuff to a new (to me) MacBook Pro. After the install I’m still seeing the problem. Similar to berkehaus above, I use Topaz Labs plugins almost exclusively, and can verify that this issue is only with Topaz plugins, or at the very least, does not effect my Silver Efex Pro 2 plugin. I’ll move this over to Topaz Labs for help. Thanks.
