Hi all, Just updated to Aperture 3.3.2. I lost all my color on project boxes, albums, control bars, etc.
I did not lose color on my color coding of images.
The word “metadata” is now “information”
E-mail is now a pull down menu
Ok with everything except the GREY!
Is there any way to get the color back?
Thanks my friends! sharon ann
Yes, the color icons were replaced with gray with the v3.3 update (likewise for the naming differences for metadata) … you can hack into the app’s content folder and replace the icons with the color version from a backup of an older version of Aperture … though it is quite likely you have to repeat the process with each successive update that you apply for Aperture in the future …
Best bet is to offer feed back to Apple via the Menu>Aperture>Provide Aperture Feedback requesting the option for colored icons …
It’s the new Monochrome design as part of the new update - you’re not alone in unhappiness with the change.
Thank you Butch and JP, but Boo Hoo!

Sharon,
Read the Aperture 3.3 review here on this site; it’ll explain all the changes.
