File Names are not showing in browser #1

The file names have disappeared from my browser in Aperture 3. I have my library on an external drive and when I load it on my iMac the file names are missing. There is a bar across the bottom of the previews and a small icon but no file numbers. If I switch to list view the files names are there. I have tried using “u” to reveal them but all that does is hide the bar across the bottom.

I have also opened the same library in my MacBook Pro and when I do that the file names are OK so I'm pretty sure it is a setting in my iMac that is causing this but I can't find any difference in the Aperture settings between the iMac and the MacBook.

Nick sounds like you should delete the preference file. See FAQ on this site for Preferences and or Plist files. Move it to deskto to be safe. Let us Know. dbm

Actually the problem was in the View Menu under Metadata Display. Under the browser I needed to select Show Metadata. I did that and everything returned to normal.
