Joseph, I recently tried singing up for Backblaze due to your enthusiasm. After purchasing I was informed they do not support so called NAS devices and I'm guessing my Drobo Pro is considered such since it is not shown as a devise Backblaze will backup. I'm guessing you have some sort of NAS devise? How did you get around this?

According to Drobo, any of their devices that connect directly to your Mac are supported. Those that connect over a network are not.

Seems like the Drobo Pro would qualify as a directly connected device. At least if the FW800 or USB interfaces are used. Not sure about the iSCSI ethernet connection. Which interface are you using.

Thomas, thanks for your help. You were right, the Drobo does qualify. My issue was due to the Drobo being setup as my disk for Time Machine. Once I removed that, Back Blaze saw the Drobo just fine and is now in the process of backing. Thanks so much for your input.
