First of all let me tell you I have learned a lot from your great website, thank you very much for that! I however have a question regarding raw images and aperture.
Whenever I import my raw images into aperture (which I don't store in the aperture library but on an external disk) they first show up as they show up on my camera, but then aperture processes them and suddenly shows much more bright and hued images. If I look at the thumbnail of the same .cr2 image in the finder it shows the much greyer image as I wanted it and how I took it (settings on my canon 7d are -4 sharpness, -4 contrast, -2 saturation). How can I stop aperture from changing from what I see in the finder to this highly hued and contrasted images? This is particularly important for me because I take photos of bird flocks at dusk where not perce the quality is important to me but the fact that I want to identify the bird species in the flock (I am a researcher at the University of Cambridge studying flocking behaviour).
