I used Aperture Exporter with great success after I had tried and failed to use Adobe’s (very buggy) built-in migration tool. I also managed to recreate my albums using Data Explorer plugin for lightroom. I created a blog post below with links.
If anyone is frustrated with the results of the default Lightroom (or Capture One) migration tools you should definitely check out these tools. Well worth the money.
