How are you handling home video these days?
Import in to Aperture and projects? Or separate in iMovie or FinalCut?
What do you recommend for import and storage and organization of home video? Thx!

It depends on what type of video and how you plan to use it. In my opinion, the only reason to import video into Aperture is if you want to combine video and stills in a slideshow created using Aperture’s slideshow tools. If you want to do it real fast and don’t mind the limited control this will work.
I’ve imported some clips into Aperture over the years. To tell you the truth I’ve never really done much with it in Aperture.
I personally use FCP X for all my video. If you want to do anything serious at all nothing less will satisfy. I used iMovie when it first came out. It didn’t take long to run into its limitations. I switched to Final Cut Express - then Apple offered a low cost upgrade to Final Cut Pro and I’ve never looked back.
