MacRumors is reporting, via Ars Technica, that Photos for Mac will include….image search, editing, effects and…wait for it….wait for it….PLUG-INS.

Now…add in lens and perspective correction, books, and I’d be a happy camper.

Add in Tethered shooting via OS or plugin…. and Ill be happy!  But learning Capture One as backup plan.

Tethered shooting in OS X is more or less system based. In fact, Apple provides a free tethered app with OS X … It offers only spartan controls but it works for any camera listed as supported for tethered shooting by Aperture … just go to Applications>Image Capture.

With your camera connected to the computer and turned on, select File>Take picture and select the destination folder for the images you are shooting. you can depress the shutter release or use either the space bar or return key on the keyboard to trigger the tethered camera.

So it shouldn’t be difficult to include tethering in any future solution whether it be an Apple application or third party solution.

Thanks Butch,  thats pretty basic and I need more tools.  But it is hopeful that a plugging from a third party could  be made for Photos.  Cheers

Some nicer news for a change.  Let’s hope more leaks along these lines keep coming out.
