Strange as it sounds, its all I can think of. I’m designing a 10x10” book in Aperture, and on some pages I cannot any longer specify a background color. Some pages I can, others I can’t. All I can think of is some pages I had droped in a photo as a background and then changed my mind and deleted it from the page. Its almost as if I’ve deleted the background itself. I can’t set a color nor drop a picture onto the background any longer on those pages. Any ideas?
That seems odd.
Delete the page in the document and add a new page in its place maybe?
As a work around add a photo box from the edit layout pane and stretch it to fill the page.
As far as setting the color, I make a custom color image in PS and import it into the Aperture project for the book. I have a folder of colors, textures, scrims, grain effect, etc. that I can drag into book projects.

Odd indeed. I was able to reload the master page in some instances and make things work again. For one page (custom layout) I had to make a new identical master page and switch master pages to get a background again.
