OS 10.6.8
older Mac Pro
Just upgraded to Aperture 3.1.2

I have my library on a separate drive on my computer. So I've been doing some housecleaning of a lot of files I don't need. I empty my aperture trash. The count in the files goes down. But after clearing out about 2000 raw images from my library the size of my library doesn't change. There is no aperture trash in my computer trash can.

The library is 268Gb.

I created a vault of the files and it was about 172Gb.

I deleted the preferences. I did the repair, then rebuild thing. The size went down less than 0.1Gb.

So I created a new library as a test. I copied about 188 images to that library. Went through the same process, deleting 20 masters. Emptying the aperture trash. And same thing. The images are gone from the program but the library size is the same and there are no aperture images in the main trash on my computer.

I went into the library and found the folder with the masters and all 188 are there.

What is going on? Is there something basic I'm missing or is something corrupted?
