Is there any way to constrain brushes to a horizontal ( or vertical) line? I have a night seascape that I’m trying to add contrast to and its difficult to maintain a straight line.

Thanx

Ron,

Not that I can see. If you’re using a tablet, you could always lay a ruler on the pad? ;-)

sorry there doesn’t seem to be a better suggestion.

Thanx Josh

I suppose i could transfer to the MBP and try a ruler on the trackpad as well.

You could crop the area, but this will only have the effect of limiting where the centre of the brush can go, if you have a massive brush size and paint near a corner of the crop, when you uncrop you won’t have a sharp corner, but the technique can still be useful in giving you a (reasonably) straight line of the limits of the centres of the brush strokes.
