Cropping problem #1

I am trying to figure out why a cropped photo in Aperture 3 is not translating when opened in Photoshop CC.  Example I cropped a photo in Aperture 3 to an 11 X 14 in the custom setting box.  I export the version as an “original size jpeg” on my desktop then when I open it into Photoshop CC to do some some additions the document size shows as 11.667 X 9.167 in @ 300 dpi.

I cannot figure out why it doesn’t come in as an 11 X 14.

TIA

Terie

You are exporting the file in it’s original size.  In the metadata of the image is the original file size and Aperture is following that dimension.

You need to build a pre set for 11 x 14.

In the export panel scroll to the bottom of the Preset drop down and click edit.

then click the “+” sign at the bottom left and add a new preset.

Then define an export preset to your chosen dimensions  and name it 11 x 14 export or something that will remind you.

Click OK

Now you have the 11 x 14 preset .
