I want so much to like Aperture. I tried to import my library folders (130k images). They're organized by year, month, date. When I try to import from the top level folder (the complete library) Aperture quits before importing all my images. I get to around 44k images. I think it's not able to grab folders and their images that are too far down in the folder hierarchy.
Maybe I'm trying to import too many images and should segregate them in separate Aperture libraries by year?
I'd welcome suggestions.

Aperture can handle to manage library ofmthis size. Somit should not be required. It seems more related to the import process. I would strongly suggest u to process it by smaller batch.
On top, if you are looking to love aperture, i would also advise u to look on the waymunwant to organize ur picture into aperture before to start the import. It is quiete easymto add keywords and other data at import. To make it later will be certainly more time consuming.
