I have a large Aperture library that relies on Referenced Originals located on a network device. (The setup is actually a bit more complex but that's the simplified version) Recently I moved the originals to a new location on the network and have been attempting to use Locate Reference Files to point the library to the correct location…
One time, for one image, the network device showed up in the dialog box and allowed me to reconnect that image to it's new location - and done again. The location is online, and Aperture sees the 1 image Locate Reference Files worked on as being online… I have no idea what was so special about that one time that Aperture recognized the location as a network drive. Is there some way I can either force Aperture to mount the device or manually edit the file locations so Aperture just looks where it's supposed to?
The complicated explanation of the setup - 4 computers accessing the same Aperture library and originals. Connected Data's Transporter is the home of the actual Library file in a sync folder (local copy of the library is stored on each machine and synced between each machine regardless of the location). Referenced Originals live on the Transporter as well - but don't sync between computers. Aperture saw the originals once - now doesn't want to browse to the drive or mount it.
