Just tried Photos for the first time, (actually got some spare time so ran up a VM for it to work from).
And the biggest mess I have found so far, keywords. It appears that the concept of a keyword hierarchy has vanished. We now have a flat list in alphabetical order. So I am looking at about 2600 random keywords instead of a nice easy order which I could use, I have chaos.
Anyone found a way around this before I give up almost without trying….
Yet another reason to keep using Aperture until it doesn’t run anymore. :(

No, we have now to look for an new concept, an alternative. We see now clearly that Photos is not our tool any more.
Best regards, Alex
Add me to the list. Now they have added the ability to geotag photos it is doing almost everything I want (I can even live with simple ‘love’ rather than stars). I am missing my nested keywords though. Before I could create a smart album looking for all animals and it would include lions, tigers, bears etc. as nested keywords. Now I either have to search individual sub-categories or tag everything twice.
The search feature is pretty good though.
