I’ve been using Aperture for all of my photo needs for a while, but became concerned when Apple said it was going to drop support for Aperture. I picked up standalone copy of Lightroom 5 because it’s offered at a standalone price (instead of in the CC) and, if Photos turns out to be a disappointment, I want to have standalone copy that’s not going to force me into a monthly subscription. Lightroom does seem to have more robust lens correction and I’d like to take advantage of that and then do the rest of the editing on Aperture. Basically, for the best photos that I want to get as good as possible, I’d like to do an initial pass through Lighroom, take advantage of the lens correction of my RAW file, then export to Aperture to do the rest of the editing. Any thoughts? Thanks
