I created a smart album in Aperture, synced to iPad via iTunes. Photo sort order is fine when opened in Photos, but when I open the album in iPhoto for iPad, they are scrambled.
It appears that iPhoto just doesn’t keep the sort order, but using Photo Transfer (iPad app) works. I create an album in Aperture, save the versions in the album to a new folder and then import the folder into the iPad using Photo Transfer.
Sort order of Aperture through iTunes is always wonky. Can’t understand why this hasn’t been fixed yet, honestly. I sync a folder of photos through iTunes and that sorts alphabetically.
I have a folder with sorted pictures on my iMAC. After syncing this folder through iTunes to my iPAD (and iPhone) the pictures in Photo and iPhoto are not sorted anymore, but scrambled. Is there a chance to get the pictures on iPAD or iPhone sorted the way I want them?
You’re talking about syncing a folder of photos via iTunes, right (instead of syncing iPhoto or Aperture)? As I recall it’s always sorted alphabetically, and I don’t believe that has changed.
