I fondly remember MobileMe and miss it so much. Photostream should be so much better, but I seem to find issues with it that sours the experience.
I've just finished a photo assignment and wanted to let the client review the results on the web, where I streamed over 100 photos. I told her to pick out the best ones and send me the file names so we could post process them. Well, when I went out to the website to check the photos, I realized that there are no file names assigned to the photos. You can 'Like' a photo or leave a comment, but there is no way for you to say 'I like img-2002.jpg and want 5 copies at 5x7.'
Instead, I have to tell the client to download the photos and tell me the filenames on the downloads. Does anyone know a better way to photostream images and display the file names, or a work around? Thanks.

Unfortunately, you are right. And I don’t know of any way to do it.
Photostream is a long way from being the tool to do what you want. Maybe some improvements will be in Aperture’s new version (whenever that happens), but in the meantime I would look elsewhere for a solution to this common problem.
