I have been following Derrick Story on Lynda.com. He uses Red River paper to print notecards. I have followed the video and created a notecard. I am using RR Premium Matte Plus cards. They recommend using the Ultra Premium Presentation Paper Matte setting on my printer but I keep getting a message that my printer doesn't recognize the paper loaded. Is there a way to get around this?
TIA,
Helen
Helen,
This sounds more like a limitation of your specific printer and/or the specific paper profile rather than something in Aperture itself.
Try this Red River page to see if you have the profiles saved in the right location
It could be possible that the paper type of choice and it’s color profile is incompatible with your particular printer’s ink set, thus your printer driver is not making it available … or that the color profiles were not installed in the correct location for your printer driver to see and access them. There are many variables here.
Also try a re-boot of the computer as this could force your printer driver to check for all profiles on startup that have been installed recently. Doesn’t always work, but it couldn’t het to try.
After posting here, I decided to do a google search and found Derrick Story’s blog. There is a wealth of useful information there and I found this post…….

that relates to my problem. I hope that this information may be helpful to someone in the future.
Thank you Butch for your reply, it was indeed a printer issue and Derrick’s post has helped me sort it out….

Just a simple a href html code … ;-)
Joseph has been considering an update/refresh to the site … hopefully if he does that will make sharing a bit more effortless …
