I had a portrait that I retouched using the retouch tool. The print came out fine except all the retouching shows up on the print. In this case it was yellow in color, which I assume was close to the color required to match the skin tone.
<p>I exported the version as a full size tiff and sent it off to the lab. Any idea what would cause the retouching to show? Would I have been better off using a jpg? The tiff looks good on the screen.

Larry,
Sending TIF or JPG to the lab wouldn’t make a difference there (and for the record, the printer I use and trust tells me to send in a quality-10 JPG, that for printing there’s no benefit to sending TIF or even quality-12 JPG).
It’s hard to imagine why the retouching show up in printing but not on screen. Would you mind sharing the image so I can have a look at it? Just put the photo in question into a new Album (just an album, not a whole new project), then go to menu File > Export > Album as New Library… and be sure to enable Consolidate Masters into exported library. You can send that new Library to me via the Drop Box option under the More menu on this site. Please include your name in the file name and let me know when it’s up, and I’ll have a look at it.

Thanks for taking a look at this. The file is named Carole GAGA. It looks like Aperture did use some yellow for the retouch color. Maybe the lab just warmed up the print so it stands out. Anyway see what you think.
